• About

I am a 35-year-old graphic designer currently living in the Chicagoland area. I have worked in the commercial art industry for 11 years. With most of that time spent in doing production art and marketing pieces for educational content providers. My early influences in art and design were rooted in urban street art, and the 80s skateboard art coming out of the west coast. My first exposure to doing art on the computer was in the early 90s when I took an AutoCAD course. I was very inspired by the potential of using a computer as tool to render the ideas in my head. The speed at which those ideas could take form completely changed the way I approached art. This was the first step toward a career in graphic design. Artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mike Mills, and Jason Alexander Cruz heavily influenced me. Music has also been a great source of inspiration for me. Expression through music has always run parallel to my interest in the visual arts, and really was my first understanding of art as a medium of expression during my childhood. I grew up an avid fan of Hip Hop and Punk rock, and that is where my roots always will be. These days, Blues and Jazz are the sounds that resonate more with me. I hope you enjoy these samples of my work, and I look forward to sharing more as they come along.
